Dr. Walter Daniel joined the faculty of the Department at Howard University as an Assistant Professor in 1929, was promoted to Associate Professor in 1935, and Professor in 1946. He resigned from Howard in 1951 to accept a position as Specialist in Higher Education in the U. S. Office of Education.
In 1961, Dr. Daniel was invited to return to Howard University to plan and develop a program for the preparation of elementary school teachers. He retired from Howard University in 1970. His professional writing includes approximately 100 books, pamphlets, chapters, articles, editorials, and book reviews.
